The Government of India has constituted a Dispute Resolution Committee (DRC) for removal of difficulties in the interpretation of the Andhra Pradesh Reorganisation Act, 2014, by the two successor States and for resolution of disputes between them.
The committee will be headed by Union Home Secretary with the Chief Secretaries of Andhra Pradesh and Telangana, Chairperson of Technical Support Group and Additional Secretary (CS) in the Union Ministry of Home Affairs as four members.Government of India established the structured mechanism in order to address the issues as they arise before they turn into disputes.
The DRC would be serviced by the Centre-State Division in the Union Home Ministry and supported by Technical Support Group (TSG) constituted by the State government.
